Digital Library Management System

Library Management System is an application refer to other library system and it is suitable to use by the small and medium-size library. It is used by librarian and library admin to manage the library operations using a computerized system. The system was developed and designed to help record transaction that happening in the library. This help to avoid the problem such as file missing or record missing will not happen again. The system uses the barcode reader to record the issue and return of books which helps in saving time and also maintain the accuracy of the system.

In any school, it's too hard to maintain library since they have students from 1st standard up to the graduation or post-graduation level, if students wants to take any particular books from library, it's very hard to search manually. To solve this, a Library Module has been developed and designed that allows access to the library wherein the user can view availability of the books and also keep a check on the stock. The automated library system has been created with the intention of making libraries more organized and to make library stocking and accessing more simplified and structured. It uses technology in terms of RFID tagging, online stock checking, procurement, check-in and check-out, fine management and the status of a book. It has become an essential tool for large libraries which have a huge number of books since stock checking and procurement is a lot simpler using the various technological options and a structured approach.

Why: Problem statement

In our existing system, all the transaction of books is done manually, So taking more time for a transaction like borrowing a book or returning a book and also for searching of members and books. Another major disadvantage is that to preparing the list of books borrowed and the available books in the library will take more time.

How: Solution description

The proposed system is an automated Library Management System. Through our software user can add members, add books, search members, search books, update information, edit information, borrow and return books in quick time.

  1. User-friendly interface
  2. Fast access to the database
  3. Less error
  4. More Storage Capacity
  5. Search facility
  6. Look and Feel Environment
  7. Quick transaction

All the manual difficulties in managing the Library have been rectified by implementing computerization.

How is it different from competition
